Over the last few years, I've had the same question pop up from time to time:
'Do you offer painting workshops?'
Unfortunately, due to the lack of space in my little home studio and the fact I have a very energetic toddler running around the place, paired with a newborn.. I haven't been able to host private workshops. Until now! I've teamed up with my good friend and fellow artist Kate Quinn to offer seasonal, roaming workshops in regional areas of Australia. But they aren't just workshops to learn how to paint, they are actually art experiences where we collaborate with a host to showcase a beautiful location (like an Airbnb cottage, a flower farm or a wine makers shed) and local businesses through beautiful food and drink offerings. Introducing Bloom Art Experiences.
We had our first Bloom event in the last week of April in Rockhampton, QLD! Our host was the lovely Claire Mactaggart (Writer, QLD contributing editor to Country Style Magazine, board member of Beef Australia amongst other things), at her Airbnb accommodation in the centre of town, Liberty Cottage. I don't know if my writing skills can really do the whole weekend justice, so have a look at the photos below to see how amazing this event was! We welcomed 38 ladies over 3 days of painting, and boy did we all have a great time.

Our workshops are aimed at people that love art, but are first time or hobby painters, or perhaps haven't picked up a paintbrush in a long time. Kate and I were very proud teachers with the results that everyone walked away with after one day painting! Make sure you scroll down to see some of the final paintings.
If you want to follow our Bloom journey, to see what location we are popping up at next, you can follow us on Instagram or ready more about us and the Bloom concept via our website.
